Date Completed: September 2017

Address: 20 S. County Trail, North Kingstown, RI 02852

The Challenge: The existing building had one entrance vestibule that led to two separate spaces - a seafood restaurant on the left and a sports bar on the right. There was no outdoor space. The challenge was to create a single restaurant with more curb appeal and outdoor space.

The Solution: The interior walls that separated the two restaurants were removed to create one big space with different zones for dining, lounging, and sitting at the bar. The name of the restaurant stands for an undeveloped plot of farmland. The design theme was based on the name of the restaurant - the outside is painted red to mimic a barn, and the inside has Western design elements like a cow mural, reclaimed wood bar, counter brackets made from old farm tools, and chicken wire half-walls. Additionally, a front porch and back deck were added to expand seating.

My Roles & Responsibilities: Interior design, exterior design, custom interior painting, custom lighting design. Stamping architect: FKA Architects
